Standard Plan Video Guide
Smart Variant Table Standard plan guide
Use Standard plan controls to make variant-heavy Shopify product pages easier to scan and closer to your store's visual style. This guide covers the practical settings to review before launch.
What the Standard plan adds
Standard includes the Free plan controls and adds the display settings most stores need for a polished storefront: variant images, stock visibility, price visibility, layout customization, quantity styling, and color controls.
More buying context
Show images, prices, and inventory information together so customers can compare choices without opening each variant separately.
Closer brand fit
Choose the table layout, quantity control style, button treatment, and colors that work with your Shopify theme.
Step 1: Confirm the essential settings
Enable the app, set the table title and add-to-cart button text, and decide whether Shopify's native picker, quantity selector, and add-to-cart controls should be hidden. These foundation settings should be correct before visual customization begins.
Step 2: Choose what customers should see
Turn variant images, prices, and stock information on or off according to the buying decision. Images help with colors and styles, prices matter when variants differ in cost, and stock helps customers avoid unavailable options.
Step 3: Select a table layout
Choose the layout that best matches the product's option structure and the amount of information shown. Preview products with many variants as well as simpler products so the layout remains readable across your catalog.
Step 4: Configure quantity controls
Pick a quantity input style that is fast to use on both desktop and mobile. For products commonly bought in multiples, make sure the controls are easy to tap and that several selected variants can be added to cart without confusion.
Step 5: Match buttons and colors to the theme
Adjust button size and color settings to complement your theme's existing buying controls. Maintain strong contrast between button text and its background, and keep the primary cart action visually obvious.
Step 6: Test the complete storefront flow
Preview the product page, compare different variants, select quantities, and add more than one variant to the cart. Test on a mobile viewport and confirm that long variant names, images, stock labels, and quantity controls remain usable.
Standard plan launch checklist
- Complete the Free plan settings first.
- Show only the images, prices, and stock information customers need.
- Choose a layout that handles your largest variant set.
- Make quantity controls comfortable to use on mobile.
- Use accessible colors with clear text contrast.
- Test multiple selected variants from product page to cart.
Free, Standard, or Pro?
Free is a good starting point for basic table enablement and labels. Standard is the right step when display and styling controls matter. Pro is designed for reusable presets, product rules, collection rules, advanced filtering, custom columns, and quantity rules. Review the full comparison in the pricing section or explore the Pro features page.
